RESEARCH FOUNDATION

Built on Science.
Driven by Purpose.

Advancing Person-Centered Care
Through Research and Innovation.

Cherish These Words is more than a technology platform-it is a research-informed initiative designed to improve person-centered care through evidence, innovation, and practical application. Our work combines academic research, lived experience, healthcare knowledge, and technology to create measurable improvements for individuals, caregivers, families, and care organizations.

Image No.10

Evidence-Based

Grounded in peer-reviewed literature, academic rigor, and practical implementation rather than assumptions.

Human-Centered

Every design decision begins with understanding the lived experiences of individuals, families, and caregivers.

Impact-Focused

Knowledge should translate into better care, stronger families, healthier organizations, and lasting social impact.

Trust-Driven

Built upon theories of trust, relationships, communication, and person-centered care.

Outcome-Oriented

Research exists to improve lives-not simply to generate publications.

OUR RESEARCH APPROACH

1. DESIGN SCIENCE RESEARCH

We use the Design Science Research (DSR) methodology to create and iteratively refine practical solutions to real-world problems.

Why it matters:

DSR ensures our platform is not only innovative, but also purposeful, useful, and rigorously evaluated in real care environments.

2. EXPLORATORY SEQUENTIAL MIXED METHODS

We follow an Exploratory Sequential Mixed Methods design to deeply understand experiences, then measure impact at scale.

Phase 1: Qualitative

Interviews, observations, and focus groups with caregivers, leaders, and families.

Phase 2: Quantitative

Surveys and validated measures to test outcomes and adoption.

3. EVIDENCE GENERATION

Our goal is to produce credible, generalizable evidence that advances both practice and policy.

We measure what matters.

  • Caregiver emotional strain
  • Trust in care relationships
  • Engagement and participation
  • Quality of person-centered care
  • Platform adoption and usability

THEORIES THAT GUIDE OUR WORK

CARL ROGERS’ HUMANISTIC THEORY

Every person has inherent worth and the capacity for growth. Empathy, respect, and authentic relationships are essential to well-being.

KITWOOD’S PHILOSOPHY OF DEMENTIA CARE

Personhood is preserved when individuals are known, valued, and engaged as unique beings with a life history.

TRUST THEORY

Trust is built through knowledge, consistency, and genuine connection leading to better communication and cooperation.

PERSON-CENTERED CARE

Care is most effective when it is informed by the individual’s history, preferences, values, and goals.

CHANGE MANAGEMENT IN ACTION

Change management provides the framework to successfully implement new solutions in complex care environments.

  • We engage stakeholders at every level.
  • We address barriers and build champions.
  • We align technology with people and processes.
  • We measure impact and drive continuous improvement.

OUR RESEARCH MISSION

To develop, implement, and evaluate a technology-enabled identity preservation platform that strengthens person-centered care and improves outcomes for individuals and caregivers.

ACADEMIC FOUNDATION

Doctoral Program

Our founder is pursuing a Doctorate in Change Management, ensuring this work meets the highest academic and professional standards.

Research Contributions

We aim to contribute to the body of knowledge in healthcare, aging, technology, and organizational change.

Ethical. Transparent. Rigorous.

Our research is conducted with integrity, respect for participants, and a commitment to real-world impact.
